11-22-12 International Night

International Night is the HKUST MBA way of celebrating thanksgiving and the global diversity of the student body.

That evening, we had tables of national dishes prepared by the native students, with personal introductions of the food by the cooks themselves. There were a variety of different cuisines, from sushi and Swiss cheese fondue to poutine, dried pork slices and many other dishes I could not identify (but were delicious nonetheless).

Almost half of the class delivered dance performances on the stage, from Chinese to Germans to Japanese, Indians (Bollywood style) and Koreans (Gangnam style). We also learnt more about all the 27 countries our classmates represent through videos, causal interviews and an eye-opening presentation on Lapland, where there are more reindeers than people and the best pastime is a sauna party.

Here are the photos from that memorable evening. Enjoy!
